2011 Membership Drive

If you haven't already checked it off of your to do list, now's the perfect time to renew your NDCLA membership for 2011. To be elligible for 2012 ND_USC football tickets you must maintain your membership (at any level) for 2011. Of course, we're also looking for new members, so please spread the word to any potential recruits. As always, your annual dues will help fund our scholarships, community service projects and upcoming Club events. Search long enough and you might find a more worthy cause, but few as rewarding.

Three players from ND's Women Basketball team help Team USA capture GOLD at the World University Games!
Junior guard Skylar Diggins, fifth-year senior forward Devereaux Peters, and senior guard Natalie Novosel scored a combined 32 points to lead the USA to a 101-66 win over Taiwan. Congratulations to these gold medal players!

NDCLA Donates Over $9000 from Penny Drive
The Penny Drive that we held earlier this year collected $4625 from our happy hours, mail-in contributions and online donations. NDCLA matched that amount and presented a check to St. John Vianney Parish in the amount of $9260. View pictures of the charred remains St. John Vianney Church and the check presention.

Mike Lee Remains Undefeated at 6-0
NDCLA fans cheered Notre Dame alum Mike Lee(6-0) as he kept his unbeaten streak alive. They were treated to a match at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA as part of the undercard for Showtime's Saturday Night Fights. Lee ended the fight with a punishing series of body shots late in the third round against Michael Birthmark(2-6). Lee scored knockdowns in the first and third rounds.

The 2011 Baseball team finished the season with 23-29-1 record with a loss to #1 Connecticut.

Softball team eliminated Western Michigan in Game #1 but couldn't hold an 8-3 lead in Game #2 vs Michigan
The Irish (46-10) had a tough end to their season when they beat Western Michigan, then lost an 8-3 lead after scoring 5 in the top of the sixth inning of Game #2 with Michigan.

#4 Seed Irish Lacrosse team ends season against Duke
The men's lacrosse team (11-3) could not get past the NCAA Championship Quarterfinals with a 7-5 loss to #5 Duke

Notre Dame women's basketball recognized
Last week, the NCAA published an article detailing the delicate balance the Notre Dame women's basketball team must strike between the rigorous academic and athletic standards of a University as prestigious as Notre Dame. It speaks to the truly tremendous nature of their recent accomplishments both on and off the court.
